Crawl Master

Terms and refund policy

Last updated 28 October 2026

In short: a Crawl Master licence is £100, paid once, with no subscription. Try it free for 14 days first. If it's not right for you, email within 30 days of buying for a full refund.

Who you're dealing with

Crawl Master is made by Joshua Higgins, trading as Higgins Development, a sole trader in the United Kingdom.

Licences are sold through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe acts as the merchant of record: it is the seller for the purchase itself, takes your payment, and charges and pays any VAT or sales tax. Stripe's buyer terms, shown at checkout, apply to the purchase. Your right to use the software comes from Higgins Development, under these terms and the licence agreement.

What you're buying

A Crawl Master licence lets one person (the licensee) use Crawl Master on any number of computers they own or control. If a business buys it, the licensee is the person it's bought for. The licence doesn't expire. It includes updates and reasonable email support for the version you're licensed for.

Price and payment

Free trial

Every feature is free for 14 days from the first time you open the app, with no card needed. After the trial you need a licence to start new crawls. Crawls you saved stay on your computer, and you can still open and export them.

30-day money-back guarantee

If Crawl Master isn't right for you, email josh@higginsdevelopment.co.uk within 30 days of buying and I'll refund you in full. You don't need to give a reason. The refund goes back to the way you paid, normally within 14 days of your email, and your licence key stops working once it's refunded.

Your legal right to cancel

If you buy as a consumer in the UK or EU, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. At checkout you're asked to agree that the licence is supplied straight away and that this right ends once you start using your licence key. The 30-day guarantee covers you for longer anyway. None of this affects your other legal rights, for example under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the software is faulty or not as described.

Problems, disputes and chargebacks

If something's wrong, or you don't recognise a payment, please email me first. I usually reply within 2 working days and aim to sort things out within 14 days. You can still raise a dispute with your card provider. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the licence key it paid for stops working.

Promotions

There are no promotions or discount codes at the moment. If there are in future, their terms will be shown here.

Restrictions

Crawl Master is sold worldwide, except where UK sanctions or export rules don't allow it. You must not share your licence key with anyone other than the licensee, or use Crawl Master to break the law or to attack, overload or get unauthorised access to any website or system. Only crawl sites you own or have permission to test.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow to be limited. If you buy for a business, my total liability is limited to what you paid for your licence, and I'm not liable for lost profits, business or data. Crawl Master's checks are automated: they help you find problems but can't guarantee search rankings or that a site meets any law or standard.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
